They say it is good to pick your spots and one Ladbrokes punter is celebrating after going a perfect seven for seven in an AFL multi this weekend. They turned a $20 investment into an impressive return of $8258.70 after picking six winning margin markets and one head to head winner.
Our Legendary Land kicked off with Friday night’s Buddy-less blockbuster at the MCG and our punter took the Swans to win by 1-39 at $2.60. It was a tense encounter and the Hawks will be rueing the number of behinds they kicked but it paid off for this leg as the Swans won 79-71 kicking the weekend off on a good note.
With a successful Friday in the bag, our punter had action on four of Saturday’s six pack. It started with the early game with West Coast were paying $2.90 to win away to GWS. Aside from a brief patch in the second quarter, the Giants held a lead within the margin for most of the game. Saturday’s second game featured the longest odds of the weekend with Carlton tipped to upset Essendon by 1-39 at $3.45. Whether it was faith or reading the form lines, backing Carlton for their first win came off here with the Blues winning 91-78.
There was no time to celebrate with the Blues though, with attention immediately swinging to the Gabba as the Gold Coast Suns Roadshow continued with the geographically closest thing they will get to a home game in the last two months. This was the one game without a winning margin attached to the bet with the Dees picked to win straight up. What a good decision that turned out to be as the visitors ran riot, taking the game by 69 points.
Saturday’s final leg took the Bulldogs to win by 1-39 at $2.06 against the winless Lions, who have been competitive. It was a similar story once more as the Bulldogs never trailed but were never safe until the final few minutes. With a perfect five for five so far, our punter needed to nail both Sunday games to close out their multi for a big return.
Richmond were paying $2.12 to beat North by 1-39 and the defending premiers had to survive a Kangaroos outfit that gave them plenty to worry about throughout the game. At the end of the day it was Richmond by 10 but there would have been a few nervous moments throughout that fourth quarter. A low scoring affair in the final game made the 1-39 margin for Geelong likely all along with the lead never reaching 40 points. Geelong took an early lead and thanks to some wayward kicking from both sides, the comeback was never really on throughout the fourth quarter sealing an $8258.70 return from their $20 multi.
